About the Role

Our client is VIC government organisation based in Docklands VIC. They are currently seeking a Payroll & Reporting Advisor to come in and work with them on a 6 month temp contract with potential for extension.

Candidates for this position must have the following to be considered:

  • Proven high volume end to end payroll processing experience
  • Experience with SAP & SAP Successfactors payroll system
  • Accounting & Finance background
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-End Payroll Management: Independently execute fortnightly and year-end pay runs, including onboarding, terminations, and separations, utilising SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Compliance & Data Integrity: Maintain absolute data accuracy through regular variance checks, ledger reconciliations, EFT processing, and strict adherence to statutory obligations.
  • Internal Advisory & Support: Serve as a responsive point of contact for staff, providing expert advice on payroll queries, enterprise agreements, taxation, and remediation.
  • Systems & Project Support: Actively participate in system enhancements, conduct User Acceptance Testing, and generate critical data reports to support salary reviews and incentive increases.
  • Reporting & Audit Delivery: Support monthly branch performance tracking and prepare comprehensive payroll audit reports to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
  • Process Improvement & Team Collaboration: Foster a high-performing team culture and continuously identify opportunities to optimise and streamline payroll service delivery.
  • Governance & Agency Representation: Ensure all operations comply fully with Government and EPA policies while positively representing the agency to the broader community.

About You

You will be an experienced Payroll & Reporting professional with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proven high volume end to end payroll processing experience
  • Experience with SAP & SAP Successfactors payroll system
  • Accounting & Finance background
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
